“Proximity networking” is the key towards the next generation IoT development, enabling a seamless interaction between a myriad of IoT devices, as well as people. The word proximity is powerful, which captures not only the spatial relationship between things/people, but also reflects their interaction within the given space. Interaction is impossible without a network. Hence, we coined the notion of “proximity networking” to model the interaction between multiple IoT devices and people in the IoT ecosystem.
